Bürkert indirect operating 2/2-way solenoid valve with DN 50 flange and 24V DC (direct current) coil. The valve has a cast iron (GG25) housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of 50 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. However, the function can easily be changed between NC and NO by rotating the pilot valve on the top side by 180 degrees. Suitable for systems with a differential pressure of 0.2-10 bar and a maximum temperature of 80°C. The valve has a Kv-value of 40 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 666.67 l/min at the differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). This model is media separated and can therefore be used for slightly contaminated and aggressive media. The cast iron housing is suited for neutral fluids. The NBR (nitrile rubber) sealing is suited for water, air, alcohol and is fairly resistant to oil and petrol. NBR is unsatisfactory with oxidising fluids. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. Manual override feature can be used to commission the system. You can separately adjust the opening and closing time of the valve with set screws, for example to prevent water hammer. Energy efficient design for a long product lifecycle. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
Important advantages
- Can be used with slightly contaminated or aggressive media thanks to the media separated design
- As standard, it is equipped with a robust manual override for easy comissioning and in case of a power outage
- The response times (open and close) can be adjusted separately
- Energy-saving design which ensures a low heating of the medium and, in addition, a long service life
- The risk of water hammer is low, thanks to the dampened closing
- Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
- Bürkert design: proven reliability & durability
5282 series
The Bürkert 5282 solenoid valve is used for the most demanding applications. The valve is built to last. The media separation makes the 5282 also suitable for aggressive media. Other interesting features are the standard manual override and adjustable opening and closing times. Furthermore, the circuit function can easily be changed from NC to NO, by simply rotating the 3/2 way pilot valve on top of the main valve body. The 5282 valve is available with a wide variation of housing and sealing materials. The brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. Various ATEX versions are available for potentially explosive environment.
