G 1 1/2” Stainless steel Suction Strainer 1 mm Mesh

Stainless steel suction strainer with G 1 1/2 inch male threads and a 1 mm mesh. Often used in combination with a check valve as a foot valve. Particle filters are recommended to install in front of components that are sensitive to small particles, such as solenoid valves or pumps. The strainer filter size defines the maximum size of particles that can go through. The strainer filter mesh size selection is guided by the requirements of the downline equipment. Correct sizing is important. If the filtration size is too large, then unfiltered debris will move downstream and could affect the performance of the downstream equipment. If the filtration size is too small, the pressure drop will increase and due to the filtration size the filter will require more frequent cleaning.

FLS series

The FLS series consist out of suction strainers with either a full stainless steel design or a stainless steel mesh with a polyamide (nylon) threaded part. They’re available from G 1/4 inch up to G 4 inch with mesh sizes ranging from 1 up to 2 mm. These suction strainers are often combined with check valves which are then referred to as foot valves. These are mounted at the bottom of a suction line of a tank.
