This pneumatic cylinder is double acting, meaning it requires air pressure to extend and retract the rod. The cylinder adheres to ISO 21287 (also referred to as a compact cylinder), which is a globally accepted and widely used standard. The advantage is that it enables world-wide inter-changeability with other major brands such as Festo, SMC or Norgren. The bore size is 80 mm and it has a stroke length of 125 mm. This cylinder has an operating pressure of 1 to 10 bar (14.5 to 145.04 psi). The piston rod is non-rotating. The piston contains a magnetic element. This allows precise position feedback of the rod location by mounting (one or more) magnetic sensors, such as reed or hall sensors. The cylinder has two G 1/8 inch ports for the air routing. The cylinder can be mounted rigid or flexible with a wide range of mounting options, such as rod swivel joint ends (ISO 8139) or rod fork ends. The cylinder head, foot and tube are made from aluminum and the piston rod is made from stainless steel.
