The lathe features forward and reverse spindle rotation as well as a double threaded 1 in. x 8 TPI spindle that allows the user to turn on both sides of the lathe. With the expansion set (ALAREVO1216 Extension) the turner can choose to extend the center to center capacity by 10 in. or outfit their lathe for outboard turning. The high-torque motor controller will allow wood-turners to freely turn up to a 16 in. work-piece without stalling or bogging down the spindle
