Electronic transformers are used for low-voltage halogen lamps. These transformers come with short-circuit protection, overload protection, and overtemperature protection, which are electronically reversible. There is electrical isolation between the primary side and the secondary side. However, switching between electronic transformer and lamp is not permitted.
