This pneumatic sensor is used to detect the end position of a cylinder. It works by measuring the pressure drop at the outlet chamber of the cylinder when it reaches the end of the stroke. Pneumatic sensor fittings replace limit switches. The sensor is screwed into the pneumatic ports of the cylinder. It switches through a pneumatic signal from the signal input port to the signal output port if the screw connection shows no pressure. It has G 3/8 inch male/female connection ports and two 4 mm push-in connection ports for input/output signal. The operating pressure range is from 3 to 10 bar (43.51 to 145.04 psi). The reaction pressure 0.3 bar (4.35 psi) and switch time is 3 ms.
Warning:The signal screw connections detect reaching the end position only when there is a pressure drop. However, this pressure drop can also occur if the cylinder’s movement path is blocked. Pneumatic cylinder switches, which react directly to a magnetic piston’s magnetic field, are recommended if there is a risk of such a blockage.
