This is a pneumatic rodless cylinder. The rodless cylinder moves the load alongside the piston. This gives the main advantages of having the same stroke length in significantly less space. The bore size is 32 mm and it has a stroke length of 100 mm. This cylinder has an operating pressure of 2 to 8 bar (29.01 to 116.03 psi). The piston contains a magnetic element. This allows precise position feedback of the rod location by mounting (one or more) magnetic sensors, such as reed or hall sensors. The damping on the both ends of the stroke is adjustable with set screws. The cylinder has two G 1/8 inch ports for the air routing. The cylinder head, drive rollers and tube are made from anodized aluminum.
Pros:
- The end of the rod stroke can be adjusted for damping
- Approximately 42% shorter than typical rodless cylinders
- Easy installation of position sensors in the grooved body
Cons:
- Not suited for icy conditions
