This is a Burkert semi-direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1 inch threads and a 42 V AC coil. The valve has a brass housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 25 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. As it is semi-direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure range of 0 to 16 bar (232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 120 °C (248 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 10 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 167 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 12, which means 12 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) sealing is suited for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible.
